Kristen Herbert

Born in 1995. Is an American writer and translator. After completing a literary translation workshop at the Balassi Institute in Budapest, she has done work as a translator from Hungarian to English. Her translations have been published in New Delta Review; Waxwing; Newfound; Asymptote; and Columbia Journal Online. She is a co-editor and founder of the bilingual Hungarian-English literary journal The Penny Truth. She also completed an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of California-Riverside. Her short story I Need Friends was published in the issue #5 of Panel (a Budapest literary and arts magazine).
