Elsa Maurício Childs

Actress, researcher, translator and teacher. She holds a BA in English and French Studies and a pre-Bologna MA in American Studies, specializing in Literature and Cinema, from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL). She contributed to the collaborative translation of the book Contos Fantásticos de Natal (101 Noites, 2003). She founded and directed the non-profit alternative educational project Casa Verdes Anos. She works as a playwright and assistant director. She is a founding member and board member of A Corda Cultural Association, as well as of the company's Playback Theatre project – InVerso –, which she also founded and directs.

Translated the poems of Raquel Nobre Guerra into English.
