Chris Daniels

Was born in New York City in 1956. He lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is a voice dedicated to the continuous translation of global Lusophone poetry in English. He has published translations of poetry by Pessoa’s heteronyms, Alberto Caeiro and Álvaro de Campos (Shearsman Books), as well as by Josely Vianna Baptista, Adelaide Ivánova, Lubi Prates and Orides Fontela. His English translation of Ricardo Domeneck’s poetry collection, entitled First Epistle to the Amphibians, was published by World Poetry Books in April 2026.
