Pedro Eiras (Portugal)

Born in Porto, 1975. He is a Professor of Portuguese Literature at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto and an internationally staged and translated author. His extensive literary repertoire includes the poetic triptych Inferno (2020), Purgatório (2021), and Paraíso (2022), published by Assírio & Alvim. Since his debut in 2001, he has published regularly across multiple genres, including fiction (Bach, Cartas Reencontradas de Fernando Pessoa, A Cura, and Nevoeiro), drama (Um Forte Cheiro a Maçã, Uma Carta a Cassandra, and Bela Dona e outros Monólogos); and criticism (Esquecer Fausto, Tentações, Constelações, Língua Bífida, or A Linguagem dos Artesãos).
