She is Palestinian, among other possibilities, but freedom is above all Palestinian. She also exercises it in what she does, spanning writing, research, translation, performance, and theater. Her most recent publication is the book of poetry Chuva de Jasmim (Caminho, 2025), which is part of the National Reading Plan. She sought her own forms of resistance when writing the country's first doctoral dissertation in Feminist Studies at the University of Coimbra, published in the book Corpos na Trouxa: histórias-artísticas-de-vida de mulheres palestinianas no exílio (Almedina, 2017). She was named Galician Universal Writer of 2025. In her artistic and research practices, she addresses the Israeli occupation of Palestine and considers the arts a testament to lives. Including her own.
