Gisela Casimiro

Born in Guinea-Bissau, in 1984. She is an artist, poet, writer and translator. She published the poetry books Erosão and Giz (Urutau, 2018 and 2023) and the chronicle book Estendais (Caminho, 2023). She wrote the plays Casa com Árvores Dentro, staged by Cláudia Semedo; and Vida: Uma Aplicação (PANOS/TNDMII). She is a co-scriptwriter on the series “Novas Narrativas de Caça” on RTP Play and a founding member of UNA – União Negra das Artes. Her texts are translated into Turkish, Mandarin, German, Spanish and English.
